Having been involved in a few “challenging” projects myself I am sure the fun is just beginning.
Given they have completely effed up the procurement side which in my experience is usually the easiest bit to get correct I will be fascinated if the design side is seamless.
The rumour of asbestos being present or disturbed would not be a surprise given the age of the stand they are working on. I am sure they will have this covered…. not.
If they were stupid enough to allow the steel to be manufactured, loaded and shipped without anyone checking prior to shipping then they could be in for some more fun. They will need some of the welders from the shipyards on standby.
It is also challenging waiting on stuff being sent sea freight. Again I have been involved in projects where this was a disaster. Even clearing customs can be tricky.
I hope that this debacle is beset with the worst luck of any project on earth. They so deserve it.
These are the same clowns who were giving Dundee all the advice on earth about how to run things, how to communicate effectively. Statement after Statement. You just know those types that love to bully the wee guys always get their just desserts. As much as Dundee pitch had issues they were hit with the biggest motherload of rain however the Huns piled on them. The Huns disaster is all of their own making.
Under no circ*mstances should the SPFL allow them to switch home fixtures. Again they have spent their short life lecturing the SPFL and SFA on competence. If they have to play away from Grayskull then that is their problem. If it is Firhill, Murrayfield or anywhere else it should count as a home tie if that is how the schedule would have fallen.
So much IRONy in this situation. It’s GRATE

Interesting to see what the SPFL "mitigation" will be for this.
By the night we won the league, the huns had only played once at Pittodrie, Easter Road, Tynecastle whereas we had already played twice at each venue. All things being equal, they should be going to Celtic Park, Pittodrie, Tynecastle, Easter Road in the first round of fixtures this season.

Cant see whatever they are doing needing a huge amount of steel, not an amount so big that buying from China would get you a great saving. But they have done.
It great they have went public on being made in China, you can bet they would have went with 'undisclosed' if they had been asked where their steel came from had this not happened.
Cheap trampy* chancers.

They hired a 30-year old marketing graduate as CEO, who clearly has no experience whatsoever of major construction projects.
He sold the fans an overly-complicated plan to install a disabled section halfway up the stand, so that the Union Bears wouldn't bully him. He then effed up the procurement, and probably hired the only construction firm that that would agree to his ambitious schedule.
When it was clear it was going to overrun, he effed off to Saudi Arabia.
(And that's without mentioning Edmiston House, which is costing them money every second that it's open.)
James Bisgrove has earned his place in the pantheon of Sevco greats, beside Whyte, Green and King.

There is a rule that all clubs must prove to their FA that they are capable of playing the season in a sensible manner and having the funds and facilities.
If they are not capable of doing so they should be expelled from the league. No other clubs should try help these bastards after the way they’ve acted since their inception.
In short, f*ck them. Die huns, die.

This "upgrade" is to be repeated next close season at the other end.
The biggest issue they've got is that the stadium is falling apart and without the money to rebuild it's only going to get worse.

Random thoughts on them
1. Barron is an upgrade on Jack and a decent freebie but he isn’t on a level with Bernardo, McGregor, Hatate and O’Riley so I remain unconcerned. I didn’t see Lewis Ferguson’s potential but I don’t see Barron being a Ferguson Mk 2. Barron, Diomande is a pretty defensive midfield, so they can expect to see more of the same hoofball as last season
2. Igamane is an interesting signing. I suppose they aren’t getting Rramani from Lennon’s new team? Which is ironic as he was quoted at like £6m and this is a £1.5m signing. Seems an odd signing when they have Dessers and Danilo but no wingers (which was the issue with Beale and they’re a year down the line and in the same position)
3. That steel excuse doesn’t cut the mustard. Long-lead items would (should) be identified, paid in advance, ordered and stored at contractor’s premises. Under no circ*mstances should you be waiting on a steel shipment from Asia mid-programme. I don’t know who their contractor is (does anyone?) but I just refuse to believe that’s the issue here
Especially when it would be so tightly programmed during a ‘shutdown’. The programme would be the main consideration in the tender process imo
Also depending on the contract wording, if there is indeed an unexpected delay in shipping from Asia, that might be a force majeure event and therefore a Relevant Event (I.e contractor would be eligible for time and no LADs on the delay) leaving them majorly out of pocket

Speaking of, one of their ex-players is releasing a book - I'm sure you'll find who if you have a look around - and was wanting to have his launch there.
Expected turn out 100, was quoted £500 an hour and bar prices at £9 a pint if they wanted it open. Needless to say he opted for elsewhere at £35 quid an hour. Even if he had chosen the warehouse apparently all the cash gets siphoned away to whoever and they make next to nothing.
Everything around their 'redevelopment ' is a shambles.
Why not just mention the player’s name? It’s for a book launch not a hit

The Huns are the type of arrogant folk that would just assume things would work out. You can bet your bottom dollar the contract will be like a throwback to Craig Whyte’s clip art invoices.
They have almost lost as many court cases as leagues since they were born due to arrogance.

Genuinely wouldn't be surprised to see them seek to get their 'Home' games moved to Windsor Park if Ibrox is unplayable for the first few games.A stadium with a history for sectarian bigotry. It'll be home away from home for them.
Windsor is South Belfast
Also Mrs Simmarian is a good East Belfast fenian

Yes but depending on the contract wording, supply chain delays might be a constitute a force majeure event
A whole raft of contractors tried to implement wording making supply chain delays a force majeure event around the time of the Ever Given blocking the Suez Canal and then the war in Ukraine

Not sure if this has already been covered but is there a reason they can’t use Ibrox and just have three stands open rather than four?
