Ariana Grande reacts to being Princess Of Pop to Lady Gaga's Queen (2024)

Fans are eagerly waiting on the new release date of Lady Gaga's anticipated sixth studio album, Chromatica, that features a collaboration with Ariana Grande.

In the midst of all the hype building around the album, the Los Angeles Times basically crowned the new generationof pop stars with Gaga as the Queen Of Pop and Grande as the Princess Of Pop.

And it turns out thethank u, next singer is far from 'crying' about playing the flip side of the royal equation.

'Every queen has a princess and @ladygaga only needed to choose one, @ArianaGrande who has shown that she's the leader of her generation,' it said in the L.A. Times article in reference to their pending song, Rain On Me.

On Saturday, April 25, Grande took to a fan account and weighed in on basically replacing the 2000s version of queen and princess, Madonna and Britney.

“why am i crying. also these edits? people are so talented the f**k,” the Sweetener star replied along with a quote about the interesting fan edited photos of the two stars.

In the promotional build-up to the initial release date, Gaga (born Stefani Germanotta), gave a little insight into the making of Rain On Me with Grande.

'I sat with her and we talked about our lives,' Gaga told Paper Magazine.

'It's two women having a conversation about how to keep going and how to be grateful for what you do.'

This will be her first studio album since 2016's Joanne, which became Gaga's fourth consecutive album to reach number one in the United States.

Back in early March, Gaga announced the Chromatica title and that it would be released on April 10, 2020.

But then about three weeks later, the Born This Way singer announced on Instagram and other platforms that it was being postponed until later in the year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

And then, just this past week, the tracklist dropped, which revealed 16 new songs that features such music heavyweights as Grande, Elton John and thehugely successful K-Pop girl group Blackpink.
